And ever since the ThinkGeek staff played with cool little R/C helicopters we've wanted to slap a camera on one and shoot some awesome aerial footage. So we invented the HoverSpy Video Cam R/C Copter. Not only is the HoverSpy a professional metal body helicopter with 3-channel control and built-in gyro, it also has a tiny embedded video camera to capture amazing video at your bidding. Simply press a button on the remote to start and stop recording. Later, download the video to your laptop and enjoy the view. You can fly indoors or out (under zero wind conditions) over 150 feet high. The Hoverspy stores all the video on an included micro SD card. The remote works via radio frequency rather than infrared allowing you to control the copter hundreds of feet away. The built-in gyro allows precision turns and rock solid hovering for great photography abilities. Don't believe us, watch some of the amazing footage we shot in the video at the bottom of the page. Important Note: The Hoverspy records video while flying. You can't watch the video until the flight is over and you remove the micro SD card and download the video into your computer. Movies are in standard .avi format playable on any computer. You will need a micro SD card reader for your computer to access the card.
