Review & Description

RSC Collectibles served the Nostalgia Drag Racing community for over 10 years, producing 1/24th scale cars from the ?Good Ole Days? of drag racing. RSC was well respected by collectors for creating very nicely detailed miniatures, and especially for several variations that had not been produced by other manufacturers. Unfortunately, as a result of the slow economic recovery having an effect on the collectibles market, RSC was forced to closed their doors on June 10th, 2011, and sell off their remaining inventory. This particular car is one that we purchased directly from them. It is in brand-new condition and has not been previously owned or displayed by any other collector. Once these beauties are gone, they are gone for good! This is a 1/24 Sox & Martin 1972 Pro Stock Plymouth Duster produced by RSC Collectibles! Produced in a run of only 8,500 pieces, it is a highly detailed replica that includes a plumbed and wired engine, removable hood, detailed interior and undercarriage, and MUCH MORE! One of the most famous teams in drag racing had to be Ronnie Sox & Buddy Martin. They virtually dominated the early years of Pro/Stock racing with their string of Red-White-Blue "Burlington Missiles". Their "72" Duster represented a significant change in Pro/Stock. With a "full" rollcage, acid dipped pieces, ladder bars, narrowed rear end etc., in an all out effort to get the car as light as possible. Pro/Stock was becoming Hi-Tech! Ronnie Sox and Buddy Martin were also one of the first professional teams in drag racing, and can be given credit for helping bring it to the level it is today. Their red, white, and blue race cars were some of the most popular cars to ever hit the race track. The team of Sox and Martin won many national events and titles over the years, and ran many different cars and classes. They competed in NHRA, AHRA, and IHRA sanctioned events, and would modify the car to fit the class at that event. Read more
